Description

Habit: Superficial on submerged partially decomposed tree branches.
Ascomata: Ascomata 400–475 x 150–210 µm, scattered, pyriform, superficial with base partially immersed, horizontal, hyaline.
Peridium: Peridium 15.5–18 µm thick, composed of 4 to 6 layers of pseudoparenchymatic cells; cells 4–9.5 x 1.5–3 µm, of mostly textura angularis in median longitudinal section, outer cells at times of textura globosa 4–7.5 x 2.5–4 µm.
Beak: Beak 160–178 x 35–48 µm, eccentric, periphysate, cylindrical in the middle, broadly rounded at the apex
Hamathecium: Paraphyses 2.5–4.5 µm wide, broader at the base, tapering toward apex.
Ascus: Asci 144–180 x 14–18 µm, cylindrical, mostly in a single basal fascicle, MLZ-, cotton blue negative, with a shallow refractive apical apparatus, with 8 mostly uniseriate or overlapping biseriate ascospores
Ascospore: Ascospores 32–38 x 7–10 µm, fusiform, with rounded ends, hyaline, guttulate, with no sheath or appendages, with 7 (-8) septa; septa thick-walled and occasionally diagonal, not constricted at septa.
