Habit: |

Ascomata: |
Ascomata 200–350 µm in diameter, globose to sub-globose, immersed or partially immersed, hyaline to greyish, membranous, ostilolate, with a neck. |

Thin-walled, of textura angularis in surface view. |

Necks cylindrical, hyaline, periphysate. |

Ascus: |
Asci 100–140 x 38–60 µm, 8-spored, clavate, pedicellate, thin-walled, apically truncated and thickened, with an apical pore and cytosplasm retracted below the ascus apex. |

Ascospores 34–44 x 14–16 µm, hyaline, ellipsoidal, bicelled, not constricted at the septum but narrowed or not in the mid-region, relatively thick-walled (2–2.5 µm wide), with bipolar, gelatinous, thread-like appeandages. |
