Habit: |
Superficial to partly immersed on wood; clustered or scattered. |

Ascomata: |
Ascomata superficial to partly immersed, globose, ostiolate, hyaline, glistening, 99-218 (x=162) µm diam. |

Peridium: |
Peridium thin, soft, transparent, composed of 3 to 4 cell layers, 2.4-9.6 µm thick, tissue of textura angularis merging with thin-walled pseudoparenchymatous cells of centrum. |

Beak: |
Beaks short, cylindrical to slightly conical, comprised of parallel hyphae, periphysate, 16.8-40.5 µm long, 16.8-28.8 µm wide at base. |

Hamathecium: |
Chains of large, globose, thin-walled cells (catenophyses). |

Asci fasciculate at base of ascoma, obovoid to pyriform, lacking an appical apparatus and apical pore, unitunicate, 48-70 (x=58) x 19-35 (x=23.5) µm, thin-walled, deliquescent or persistent, containing eight ascospores. |

Ascospores 2-celled, hyaline, with a slightly pale rose hue in transmitted light, broadly elliptical, 15-22 (x=19) x 8.8-13.2 (x=10) µm, wall 1.5-3 µm thick. |
